Core Values

Valley View Christian Church is a non-denominational church serving Edgewood, NM as well the entire East Mountain area.  As a community Valley View is simply to be real people, with real issues on an incredible journey with Jesus.  Our vision is not to be the largest church in the area, but rather to church the area.  We are driven by four core values which we believe give people the best chance to live transformed lives for Christ.  In addition, we believe this is the best path in equipping the church of the next generation. 

Pursue God

Worship is a way to express our love and respect to God for who He is and what He has done through Christ. The Bible tells Christians that we are to meet together as a body.  At Valley View, we follow the guideline to meet together as a community of believers in our worship gatherings.  Our worship usually includes music, a video, prayer, communion, giving an offering and biblical teaching by one of our pastors. Our goal through our worship gatherings is to pursue God and give Christians the tools they need to live changed lives for Christ. 

Build Community

There is great power in living and growing in biblical community together. In Acts 2:42 is says that the early church was “together.”  Studying God's Word together, while making friends and growing in fellowship, is a picture of authentic Christian Community.  Building Community Ministries is dedicated to helping Valley View Christian Church live out the Christian journey with other followers of Christ on the same journey.

Unleash Compassion

One of Jesus’ followers said this about Him: “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Mt 9:36, ESV)  Being the hands and feet of Jesus to the harassed and helpless is a vital focus of the ministry of Valley View.

Capture the Next Generation

Next Generation Ministries at Valley View encompasses every age from babies through college.  It is our goal to come along side parents in order to equip children and young adults to be the Next Generation Church.  Therefore, we strive to create multiple environments programmed to engage the Next Generation and allow them to grow at their own level.
